Olivia & Dylan – A Heartfelt Celebration at The Mint, Sydney

Olivia and Dylan’s wedding day unfolded in the most meaningful of ways, beginning in two special homes. Dylan got ready at his childhood house on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, surrounded by family and the familiar comfort of years gone by. Over at their own home, Olivia shared the morning with her closest friends, family, and their beloved cat, who brought a little extra charm and calm to the pre-ceremony moments.

The ceremony took place at The Mint Sydney, a historic venue full of timeless character and heritage beauty. The space was transformed into something truly magical with a breathtaking floral installation by Francis Floristry, filling the courtyard with the scent of fresh blooms and setting the tone for a day full of romance.

Their celebrant and pastor, Brendon, led an incredibly personal and moving ceremony—one that had everyone smiling, tearing up, and feeling the love in every word.

After the ceremony, we wandered through the Royal Botanical Gardens for portraits—a moment of calm and connection before the evening celebrations began. The gardens gave us the most beautiful light, with sweeping views of Sydney and lush greenery creating the perfect backdrop for timeless, editorial-style portraits. Olivia and Dylan moved through it all so naturally, sharing quiet moments, laughter, and that newly-wed glow. It was one of those settings where everything just clicks—the emotion, the light, the couple—and I couldn’t have asked for more.

Guests were treated to an amazing spread by Pearl Catering, with food and drinks that delighted and impressed. Olivia and Dylan shared their first dance—an intimate moment that gave way to a high-energy celebration. Just when guests thought the day couldn’t get any better, the incredible Hot Potato Band made a surprise appearance, kicking the dance floor into full swing with their infectious energy and joyful sound.

From the heartfelt details to the spontaneous fun, this day was overflowing with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. It was such a joy and honour to photograph Olivia and Dylan’s wedding—an absolute dream to be part of such a beautiful and joy-filled celebration.
